Dr. Brock Lorenz is a highly trained and skilled board certified Periodontist, performing all surgical aspects of implant dentistry and Periodontics.
Dr. Lorenz earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and Certificate in Public Health from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
He received a Certificate in Periodontology and Master of Science in Dentistry from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Lorenz was President of his class and President of the A.T. Still University Mesa Campus Student Government Association for two years. While in Arizona, he founded outreach clinics and events to improve the oral health of the underserved members of his community. He has received various awards in recognition of his academic accomplishments and humanitarian efforts.
He completed an additional three years of Periodontology training at the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. During his residency, he held the position of Chief Resident and clinical and academic teacher for dental students. In addition to his Certificate in Periodontology, Dr. Lorenz obtained his Master of Science in Dentistry at Nova Southeastern University. He is also certified to provide intravenous and oral sedation.
Dr. Lorenz has lectured for the Florida Academy of Periodontists and his research has been published in Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry. He has been active in implant-related research and prospective clinical trials to examine the efficacy of various grafting materials in bone augmentation procedures. Dr. Lorenz owes much of his success to those who trained him – some of the country’s leading implant and periodontal specialists.
Dr. Lorenz is a Diplomat of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), Fellow and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), a member of the Academy of Osseo integration (AO), the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA) the California Dental Society of Anesthesiology (CDSA), the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA) and San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS). He currently resides in Garden Grove with his wife Meagan and daughters Soleil and Celeste.
Dr. Dara Kimia is a general dentist with extensive training in all aspects of dentistry. His emphasis has been treating fearful patients and those with complex medical and dental issues.
Dr. Kimia grew up in Montreal, Canada where he attended a 5 year DMD program at the University of Montreal and graduated with honors at the age of 23. He was not only the President of the student body but also served as head of the Canadian Dental Students' Association as well as chapter president of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. He received multiple awards for his involvement in the community including a recognition by the American Dental Association for the development of a clinic providing free treatments to the underserved population of Montreal.
After dental school, Dr. Kimia completed a 1 yr Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the esteemed Eastman Dental Institute where he gained vast knowledge of a multidisciplinary approach to dentistry including the management of geriatric patients. During his residency, he served as chief resident and ran the volunteer dental clinic at the Jewish nursing home of Rochester, NY.
After 9 years of practice in NY and Scottsdale AZ, Dr. Kimia moved to Sherman Oaks, CA in 2013 to be closer to his family and pursue his passion of dentistry. He currently also owns a practice in Granada Hills which focuses on phobic patients as well as cosmetic and implant dentistry. He is also accredited and licensed in providing oral and conscious sedation.
Dr. Kimia speaks several languages, has a warm and caring personality and truly prides himself on thoroughly educating his patients. He prefers the “old fashioned” personal relationships. And his philosophy of care revolves around patient comfort, complete dentistry and long term maintenance.
Dr. Kimia holds licenses in Quebec, NY, AZ and California. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, San Fernando Dental Society, Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity as well as multiple continuing education forums.
Dr. Kimia is also active in volunteering and travels abroad with students to remote, disaster stricken areas around the world to provide access to care.
Dr. Alice Kanevsky is a general dentist performing all aspects of restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry.
Dr. Kanevsky graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine and a degree in Clinical Honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She worked as a research assistant in periodontics and a student teacher at the Penn Restorative Dental Clinic. While in school, she regularly volunteered for Penn Smiles and Puentes Public Clinic and provided free dental care and oral health education to underserved communities in Philadelphia.
After dental school, Dr. Kanevsky spent two years in residency with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs at the Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in Northridge, CA. Dr. Kanevsky helped hundreds of veterans that served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan ranging from restorative and cosmetic dentistry to full mouth rehabilitation of injuries suffered on the battlefield. She was a Chief Resident during her second year and focused on endodontics, prosthodontics, cosmetic, and implant surgery.
Since her residency, Dr. Kanevsky has practiced family dentistry in the San Fernando Valley performing restorative and implant dentistry such as crowns, veneers, implant placement and restoration, root canal therapy, and removable dentures.
Dr. Kanevsky is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, West Los Angeles Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology.
Dr. Kanevsky’s passion for dentistry is a byproduct of her upbringing and outgoing personality. Her physicist father and concert pianist mother instilled a love for science, artistic expression, and helping others. These passions are the pillars of Dr. Kanevsky’s holistic approach to dentistry. When she’s not busy helping patients, Dr. Kanevsky enjoys running in the Santa Monica Mountains, cooking for friends and family, oil painting, and volunteering with senior citizens.
Herbert Schneider DDS is a graduate of University of Pennsylvania, School of Dentistry, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. At school, he was an active member and officer of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, where he is still involved and has served all these years in the local chapter as president, vice president, and secretary. Upon graduation, Dr. Schneider completed a year of internship in dentistry at Jewish
Memorial Hospital in New York, after which he served two years in the United States Navy as a Dental Officer. Following an honorable discharge, Dr. Schneider opened a dental practice in Sherman Oaks and Encino, where he has practiced for over forty years.
From 1972-75, Herbert Schneider, DDS was an instructor at USC School of Dentistry, where he received the Advancement of the Dental Profession Award through his contribution as a Dental Educator. He has been a member of the American Dental Association, the California State Dental Association and the San Fernando Valley Dental Association for over forty years.
Dr. Schneider was a founder and board member of a successful Dental Maintenance organization and still provides dental services to its members. He continues to perform all facets of general dentistry, with an emphasis on cosmetic and implant treatments. He has been involved in implant dentistry for almost twenty years, and has seen the changes in technology evolve to the point where implants are now much more predictable, simpler to perform and much longer lasting.
